New Jersey Legislature Passed Bill for Open Textbooks
On March 25, 2019, the New Jersey legislature passed Bill S768, which requires institutions of higher education to develop open textbook plan.
- SENATE, No. 768. STATE of NEW JERSEY, 218th LEGISLATURE.
- This bill provides that within 180 days of the bill’s effective date, each institution of higher education must submit a plan to the Secretary of Higher Education to expand the use of open textbooks and commercial digital learning materials to achieve savings for students enrolled in the institution.
